Three generations in the diamond trade.
Gadi Spiro buys diamonds, gold, jewelry and watches from private individuals across Dallas and Fort Worth. He’s the third generation of his family in the diamond trade.
Before this, SJ Diamonds spent decades in the wholesale trade — assessing, buying and manufacturing natural diamonds. Not retail. The side of the business where knowing what a stone is actually worth is the entire job.
Where it started
Gadi’s grandfather, Bernard Spiro, was among the first members of the Israel Diamond Exchange when it opened in 1968, trading rough stones in Ramat Gan.
Why buying, and why now
Most people who inherit a ring or clear out a parent’s house have no idea what they’re holding. Their realistic options are a jewelry store that wants to sell them something, a pawn shop, or shipping it to a stranger in an envelope.
We thought there ought to be a fourth option: someone who actually knows, will tell you straight, and can make an offer directly.
Estimates and formal appraisals
Gadi offers free verbal estimates and a separate paid formal appraisal service for jewelry and watches. See appraisal pricing.
Still trading
SJ Diamonds continues to serve wholesale and trade partners.
